Some pictures of what we've been up to at DelliPops today
PupCake
Banana Bread for Dogs
Doggy Flapjacks dipped in dog safe chocolate
I've been very brave and tried samples - its not like the ingredients aren't for people - and I love bananas, apples, carrots and peanut butter but there's something about the lack of fat and sugar and knowing that they're for dogs that just puts you right off trying them! But I did and they are edible but not really for two-legged taste buds! - going to visit a shelter tomorrow and give some samples out to get doggy feedback!
We had a great day of sales on the stall on Saturday. Requests for next week so far are for a whole diabetic friendly fruit cake rather than just slices - lots of holiday makers staying for a week or two want to have a cake for the duration. And I need to double up on 'Will's Groom Cake' portions - it all sold out by 10am! Almost every other customer had a dog and as an excuse for a canine cuddle I was feeding them little titbits of oat muffins so next week I'm going to have some kind of cakey treat that's healthy for our four-legged friends. I just need to get researching now all I know is that they can't have raisins, grapes or normal chocolate. Time to get experimenting!
Come visit our stall at Treetops in Benllech this Saturday May 4th
As well as tons of cake pops we will also be selling whoopie pies, diabetic fruit cake, and slices of 'Wills Grooms Cake' and if you get there early you can treat yourself to a breakfast muffin
No need to create a special event just so you can order some DelliPops! - you can now just 'pop' in to the cafe at Treborth Garden Centre in Bangor and enjoy a scrummy cake pop with your brew.
Treborth are just trialling DelliPops at the moment but hopefully lots of sales will mean a long term committment - fingers crossed!
I just had to post these fabulous wedding cakes at The Cake Parlour by Zoe Clark.
I've cherry picked my favourites and put them into two collections firstly
This shows the lovely couple, the incredible bouquets by I heart Buttons that we were asked to co-ordinate with and the resulting Upsidellies Place Names/Favours.
Although my gorgeous son loves cake pops and would eat them all day everyday I thought for his 16th Birthday I'd make something a bit different than the usual Dellipop Cakes he always has ...
What do you think?
The cake inside is my usual fudgey dense chocolate cake that Dellipop fans know well but the idea for the decoration came from my favourite Baking Blogger ... Cupcake Crazy Gem I pleased to report he loved it!
